Overview
The City of La Vergne seeks guidance from throughout the community through the appointment of residents, professionals, and experts on boards and committees that focus on specific city functions. The committees usually meet monthly to consider how the public can better be served. Their ideas and suggestions are then forwarded to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for consideration.
Become a Board Member
To serve on a committee, residents are encouraged to follow the La Vergne City Hall Facebook page, watch Channel 3, and check the City of La Vergne website for vacancies.
A Board or Committee Member Application must be submitted to be considered for a position. Completed applications can be submitted online. Print forms are available and can be dropped off in person at La Vergne's City Hall or emailed to the city administrator.
Once completed applications have been received, the name(s) are forwarded to the Board of Mayor and Alderman for appointment at their next meeting. Some positions are appointed by the Mayor while others are voted on by the Board.
