The City of La Vergne Fire Rescue Department is led by Fire Chief Ronny Beasley. The Department places a high emphasis on life, safety and fire prevention, along with a commitment to emergency responses for the City of La Vergne, its citizens, and its guests. LFRD provides emergency responses to fire-related emergencies, medical first responses, hazardous material incidents, and other situations that the department may be able to aid in.
The Fire Rescue Department is made up of three shifts that run 24 hours on, 48 hours off shifts. 16 personnel are assigned to any given shift with a minimum of 13. Fire staff operate off one engine, two quints, and one squad. The team is made up of a fire chief, deputy fire chief, fire marshal, life safety officer, three battalion chiefs, nine lieutenants, 11 engineers, and more than 20 firefighters.

Training & Credentials
The City of La Vergne Fire Rescue Department is committed to providing the best services possible. To ensure this standard is met the department requires each employee to maintain certain training standards and certifications. In addition to the minimum standards, specialized training is required for promotional positions within the department. Monthly training sessions are held to ensure the ISO requirements are maintained per the standards set forth.
The Fire Rescue Department is a proud member of the Tennessee Commission on Firefighting and often hosts training sessions.
