The purpose of the Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) is to take a proactive approach to combating crime and to assist patrol officers in addressing their Community Policing projects. The unit’s daily responsibilities include proactive street level enforcement and crime suppression in those areas where calls for service are higher.
CIB detectives investigate violations of laws pertaining to narcotics, gang and vice-related laws and ordinances, prostitution, and asset forfeiture. The CIB employs various investigative and high profile tactics to address crime trends within the City of La Vergne. Detectives also work cases including domestic and sexual crimes, robberies, burglaries and thefts, assault and other serious crimes.

Neighborhood Watch
The La Vergne Police Department knows that safety is a primary concern for you and your family. The department will help you set up a neighborhood watch program if desired to foster a community partnership that is important to preventing criminal activity. Your eyes and ears are important in helping to report suspicious activity.
