Meter Readings

Sewer Rates are based on the actual water meter readings. There is not a separate sewer meter. However, there is an option to install a meter for irrigation systems and swimming pools because water used for these is not returned to the sewer system.

The fees for an irrigation tap total $1,085.00 and include:

  • Irrigation tap fee: $750
  • Inspection fee: $25
  • Water meter fee: $285
  • Back flow permit: $25

A plumber must make the tap and the Public Works Department will inspect and set the meter. For more information, contact the Water Billing Department at 615-793-4989.

Fees for cross connection include:

  • Backflow permit: $25
  • Backflow inspection fee: $40
