Lieutenant Mike Campbell is the Support Services Commander, serving in this role since August of 2014. This includes supervision of the Police Records Division along with managing fleet services, general purchasing, uniforms and equipment. He began his career with La Vergne Police Department in February of 1995 after putting himself through the Basic Police course at Cleveland State Community College in the fall of 1994. He served in the Patrol Division for 19 years, progressing through the ranks of Officer, Field Training Officer, Corporal, Sergeant and was promoted to Lieutenant in November 2007. Over the course of his career he has served as the General Department Instructor, Field Training Supervisor and TASER Instructor and still serves on the firearms training staff as a Patrol Rifle Instructor.

Lieutenant Campbell is a graduate of the Northwestern Police Staff and Command course, Class 344 and is an active member of the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP).  He is a recipient of the TACP Level 3 Leadership Certificate and has completed the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy training. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and an Eagle Scout, Middle TN Council class of 1986.

Lieutenant Campbell has been married for 28 years and has 2 children. He enjoys movies and is an avid motorcyclist.
