Fire Station #41 Grand Opening
The new fire station #41, named in honor of former Fire Chief Richard "Ricky" McCormick, on Old Nashville Highway has officially been completed! Firefighters have moved into the building and are serving the community from the new station. The grand opening is scheduled for August 20.
"This project has been a long time coming," says Mayor Jason Cole. "We are exceedingly proud of the men and women who serve our community and we hope this state-of-the-art building will provide them with everything they need to continue to do the job to the best of their abilities for years to come."
The new location is roughly 28,000 sq. ft., provides better training facilities, new administrative offices, a 120 person classroom that can also serve as an emergency operations center, and enough room to house up to 13 firefighters per shift. There are four pull-through bays for seven emergency response vehicles.
